I thought this was a place to talk about food. I guess I was wrong. Too bad.

It is quite comendable that you "spent Columbus Day in a nearby park with many fellow NYorkers sitting in silent protest against the glorification of Christopher Columbus' arrival in the Americas and the genocide the ensued from that point hence."
So am I safe to assume that on Sept 11, you and those same fellow NYorkers sat in the same park in silent protest against the genocide of 3000 innocent men, women, and children, who were also fellow NYorkers?
Probably not.
You seem like a "glass is half empty" person. Sure this country has made a lot of mistakes, but it has also done a lot of good in the world. God has blessed us with the greatest and most generous country that the world has ever seen. Yet, some people can only focus on the bad.
I'm really sorry about that.

I really had hoped that this was a place to talk about food.
