That happens to run right through the middle of this town.
Usually it is the first few days of August but this year it is the 31 of July and 1of August. Good freakin luck getting anywhere during that time
I went to the store and the bank today and these jerks sat througn the light twice so they could look from the road at yard sales going on each corner without parking their cars and walking to see
My cars AC is scheduled to be recharged tomorrow and it was only about 100 degrees her today. I'm glad Jon stayed home cause I could have made a sailor blush I was so mad.
A very good friend owns his own alternator repair place and he is gonna recharge my cars ac for me at no charge tomorrw ( I have the coolant) but I still am gonna have to make it though about three miles of prime yard sale territory to get to his garage. If I make it there without stopping to kill some jerk who perfers to coast along so they can look see from their air conditioned car  instead of parking and walking.
It is supposed to be another scorcher tomorrow with high humidity.

Janie aren't you glad it is only for a few days!!!

I know how you feel, I used to live where they held Mardi Gras parades and activities for weeks on end and would blocks of entire roads would be shut down and baracaded off, it would create havock for that period of time from sometime in late Jan. early Feb. until Ash Wednesday!!!I truly hated it! You know they even dismissed school on Fat Tues. for that "crap-ola"! Mardi-Gras is an excuse for people to act like sicko's and all kinds of mayhem and madness are common.

Yes I am glad it is only for a few days. A lot of people get paid on the first
I can imagine they had a nightmare trying to get around today and tomorrow.
All I have planned tomorrow is getting my AC fixed and taking Jon's Dad the pot of beef stew I made him today.

I would have been afraid to go outside during some of the Mardi Gras stuff I have seen on tv :o I bet it was a pain in the tush!

Dang, this messy stuff is enuf to make someone wanna go POSTAL! :) Good Lord! Don't know if I could handle a town-full of whacko, gawking strangers who come just to lurk, poke around and intrude...

Only traffic trouble we have in my neck o'the woods is the occasional 80 yr. old slow tractor driver... winks- k.

Hey Kevin>

When I lived down in South Alabama we had so-o-o many farmers on tractors, that is really a different and kind of pleasant experience though, they would look back often to see if anyone was coming then pull off to the shoulder of the road and let you by. There was always a smile and a wave and it was nothing at all, just a pleasant passing experience. Worst thing that might happen is when one of them was spittin' his tobacco juice and didn't see you coming!:D We had a bus driver down there that chewed tobacco, he'd spit it out the window, so us smarter and older kids knew not to sit on the drivers side of the bus!!! He also had a son who lost an arm in a farming accident, so he had a artificial hand with a hook on the end, he used to love to pinch us girls with that hook:D He was a sweetheart and did it in a fun and friendly way, not to hurt or be mean, we used to giggle and laugh. Many boys helped their Dad's on the farms and would get hurt:(
