Since nobody seems to have found it, I would submit the request to Uncle Phaedrus, Finder of Lost Recipes

Thanks, Mama.

But we weren't short of standard poppy seed dressing recipes. There are dozens of them, made with sugar or honey.

What we're looking for is one that is specifically made with light Karo.

Sure, one can substitute. But that removes the fun of the hunt.

Great recipe, mama... Thanks a bunch for the trouble!

But as Brook says- we're kinda searchin' for the one I recall from ages back that calls for TONS of Light Karo Corn Syrup.

At the time in this particular country club kitchen- I was a lowly lunch cook. I watched the chef make his delicious salad dressings from scratch each week. When I watched him dumping gallons of the Karo into the 50-gallon Hobart mixing-bowl with other ingredients, and turning the whip attachment on "low" so he could then drizzle-in the oil to emulsify his vinaigrette- I was amazed! I simply could not conceive of a SALAD DRESSING so candy-sweet! However- it was delicious! The club's most popular dressing!
