So what do you call it? Carbonated drinks, that is.

I'm a poll-posting fool today, am I not?

I call it soda. Its funny because when I lived in indiana for a while everyone there called it POP.

Once in college, I went with a boyfriend to visit his family in the Midwest, and someone asked me if I wanted a "pop." I was like, "a WHAT?"

LOL

I call it Pepsi most of the time because that is what I prefer to drink - but on a more generic basis I call it soda.

No one has chosen Pop yet? I guess it wasn't so strange that I didn't know what they were talking about when they offered me a pop. LOL.

Well, I don't know how to answer. I grew up calling it pop but i've slowly moved to soda. Most of the time I just say whatever I'm drinking... which typically ends up being Mt. Dew LiveWire.

I usually say Coke no matter what the drink usually is. I guess that's more common in the South.

I have called it Coke, but mostly refer to it as Soda. I dont think I have ever called it Pop though...thats a Yankee term. Down here in Texas, its either Coke or Soda.

"You want a Coke?"
"Sure"
"What kind?"
"Dr Pepper"

:D :D

Oh yeah, everything is Dr. Pepper around here. It's funny, we visited NYC recently and the waitress at one place we ate at didn't have any idea what it was. I was like, "I thought you East Coasters were supposed to be food experts"

I know they call it pop in Buffalo, NY. Around here in MD we call it soda or coke, soda being the more general term for 'pop' :p

We call soft drinks soda pop so I voted for pop. BTW-My favorite soda pop is ice cold A&W Root Beer. It's one of those flavors that surprises you when you haven't tasted it in a while. It's great in an iced mug, especially in August :)

Since Dr Pepper wasn't one of the choices of the poll I had to choose Soda.

Wow a New Yorker and not knowing what Dr Pepper is. I'm astonished.

Mr Pibb is Coke's product with a similar taste to Dr Pepper or Root Beer.

Anyone like Birch Beer? I love the stuff and always enjoy it when I go to lunch somewhere that offers it.

I call it soda most of the time, but sometimes just generally say coke no matter what brand I'm drinking.

:p Does not matter if it is pepsi, I still call it Coke. I know it is wrong on so many levels. But that is OK.
