Bratwurst. Toss a bunch of brats in a pot with water and onions and simmer a couple hours, then put em on a baking sheet under the broiler til brown, a couple minutes, turn and repeat. I make enough at a time to eat on for a few days, a dozen or so, at a time.

Cheese on toast with a scraping of English mustard with a cup of slightly sweetened coffee.

It used to be my 3 o'clock wake me up meal. That's 3 am not tea time. In the days when I used to work 12 hours, the night shift.

I just open up a can of green beans and a small can of diced or stewed tomatoes. Sometimes I will add some mushrooms or anything else that is within arm's reach.

I tried cashew nut butter for the very first time last week.

What a winner. Really nice. I think it will be on my breakfast list in future.:)
