Yeah but some of them are smaller books.
I love Ametrine but I only have it in a loose stone. Since I have the whole necklace, earings and ring in both citrine and amethyst separately I thought I would either end up not wearing the ametrine or not wearing what I already have. Another stone I love is rutilated quartz. I have a pendant but I'd like more. If you like opal another semi-precious stone with similar rainbow flash properties is labradorite. I have a lot of and it's beautiful. Sort of moss green with big blue and lavender flashes.
I know Labrodite well it is a really terrific stone! I also love a really nice moonstone, which is somewhat similar to the labrodite.
I used to be a member of our local Gem & Mineral Society and we did many rockhouinding trips all over the US. Have you even seen Rutile crystals? They are metallic looking and the inclusions are a deep rich red color when in a good light source. I have several from a trip we made to Graves Mountain in Georgia. We hit a vein and were able to collect some georgeous specimens. I think it is so amazing what beauty lies buried in our earth's crust:) The first gemstone I ever found was a garnet, it was a pretty little crystal! And got me hooked on gem hunting. Have you ever panned for gold? Now that is FUN, but back-breaking after a full day bent over a gold pan!

:DI think the rutile crystal you are talking about is rutilated quartz. It looks like gold or copper threads running through the clear quartz I love it. I have several pieces. I'm a rock hound too though I haven't been lucky enough to go on any digging expeditions. I love rocks with interesting properties like star rubies or the gorgeous striations in malachite. I could just stare at them for hours. Today I'm wearing my chalcedony.
It is acually crystals (large ones) of rutile not the needle inclusions in quartz, really neat!!! I will look up a photo on-line so you can have a look, it is much better in real-life photos all photos make it look like hematite, which it is not. Wow I wish we lived close by one another I could show it to you. I was going to ask if you also had Malachite, Lapis Lazuli, and Pink Rhodochrisite jewely as well. I used to do wire-wrap jewelry and it was fun and I made some great pieces, have given them all away now, but I still have the ability! Have you seen wire-wrap jewelry and do you like it?
This is a very good snap-shot enlarge the image and look closely you will see the specks of red in the inclusions/or stress fractures!
