Wow, Who Redecorated

I am so disappointed with the new look

IC I believe change is a good thing....IF it improves. I am sorry to say the new color scheme is appauling! Just bores me to tears. I am an artist and bright colors attract. Blue is a very serene color...hum....maybe the creator of SP or powers that be decided we needes a little calm-down around SP, all our ranting and raving about this & that:confused: I do not know, but Just must voice my disapproval and discontent, sorry that I don't agree with you on this one ole chap;)

Look at it really carefully IC....Now...do you really see any POP!?!
 
No, I see no "Pop" Cathy. But seeing any change was surprising. I'm not sure what changes are allowed in this forums programing but even something is better than the same old nothing.
 
I like the blue, myself. Not to disagree w/ our resident watercolorist- Cathy... but, I like the change. I liked the orange too- but I think I might prefer this blue. Maybe it's just because it's new?

Next, how about tie-dye? Ha!
 
what about flagman orange????? LOL

blue must have a calming effect on all us ornery folk!

I love all colors, red is my very favorite! I must say I really do not like this new look one bit, it does not tell me how many folks are on-line and it is just a little different that it used to be. I wonder what is wrong here?

Janie orange veggies and fruits are some of my favorites - oranges, apricots, pumpkins, carrots, etc..... a lovely color beautiful bright bold orange!;)

Gosh I am outnumbered though:eek: I must be a MINORITY!:D
 
blue is probably my almost least favorite color.
favorite is green, most all greens, then the berry colors and citrus colors.

except for amazing, wonderful blueberries not many foods are that hue?

Personally I think something is wrong with the web-page and it has not been fixed yet, I have seen it do this before only it usually got straightened out rather quickly...hummm I wonder why it is taking so long this time?

Nan green is a most amazing and beautiful color! When I lived out West I could not get over how much I missed my green landscapes back East! The lack of green really works in the negative on my psyche:rolleyes: I could never survive in a barren enviroment!

You know one of the shows on HGTV... the Interior Designer, she uses natural veggies and fruits for folks to pick their paint themes from for their remodel projects. I have found that to be a most interesting concept. And it works so well, I wonder why I never thought of it myself:confused: hee-hee

I love all of those things too Cathy. I also love zucchini, granny smith apples, tomatillos and pears. I even have a toaster that is the color of granny smith apples. Green and orange are still not my favorite colors. My little sis loves yellow and my niece is a pink fan. I adore the color and smell of lilacs.
 
Green is one of my favorite colors.And Red is the other one. I have a friend who redocorated her kitchen in black and white. Great for her but would be my nightmare....lol...give me vibrant color !
 
Jon has an aunt whose entire kitchen is black and white cows. Her floor is black and white squares. I try not to look down cause it makes me dizzy with my astigmatism lol.
I like color but give them to me is softer shades. That is what I like about the blue they used here.
 
We are all so unique and as individuals have our own preferences...that is wonderful!!! Now in regards to just up and changing the forum, I sort of believe that a vote from all forum members would have been logical and fair! But knowing full-well we would all have different opinions and that "you can't please all the people all the time" they would have a heck of a job on their hands by offering a vote on the subject>>>so "Cest La Vie"!
 
I upgraded the forum software over the weekend. The layout templates used in the orange 'hexcell' layout aren't compatible and some of the functions in this (and in the last upgrade), so I decided to turn them off rather than getting them rebuilt. One thing I didn't like about the way the 'hexcell' orange template worked is that you couldn't click on the top Spice Place logo to get to the top of the forum. That works fine with this blue look, which is standard vbulletin layout.

If you folks want some other choice in colors, I can spend a little time to see what it would take to get the standard templates in a few other colors. I don't mind doing that, just want to make sure someone would find that a worthwhile endevour on my part. Anyone want some other color choices?

Give other colors a shot!!!! That's my vote!

Yes Matt any color will be better than this blue hue, it is totally BORING and dull and we are SpicePlace after all:D Spice means Spicy!!!!
