Returning to enjoying the kitchen after many years of tv dinners. With retirement in the near future, desire to share with others recipes using coffee, the grounds, the liquid, and the varied flavors, and other adventures. A colleague is allergic to nuts so made brownies with peaches (drained and cut up small with kitchen shears) using peach juice (substitued for 1/2 of the liquid). The result was a moist flavorful melt in your mouth delicacy. Joining a 'chat' area is new and exciting. Currently, hot into baking cookies this season for giving home made gifts. Hope each of you is enjoying these festive days.

Thank you for the warm Christmas wishes and may yours be filled with wonder, love and warmth!!! Wish I were there baking cookies with you! The closest I came this year was helping the grand children decorate Gingerbread men (store bought ones) and we had a great time. Tonight I took them looking at Christmas lights and allowed each one to sing me a mandatory Christmas Carol and then they had to listen to me sing a little diddy too..poor little tikes they were good natured about it!
But we finshed off the evening having a snack (gingerbread men of-course) and reading the nativity story from the book of Luke!
