excuse me - but in "my" day - goldfish were consumed - if they were alive they went down easy - if they got stuck in your throat - they were dead
it was a big thing for the guys (and some girls) to do........
not me - goldfish swim in circles in a little bowl and you feed them daily - they are not to be downed with a beer

Agreed, the water was boiled to make ale, not beer. Then it was safe to drink. Even kids had it with all meals, if their parents loved them. Evidentaly it worked or we would not be playing this modern charade. Thank the higher powers for two row barley.
