Hey everybody, glad to become part of the forum. I just moved out of my parents' house and now I have to start cooking for myself...or else eat crap every night. I look forward to learning some cool recipes here and trying them out.

Howdy KitchenSink and welcome! I think you'll find Spice Place a fantastically fun and cozy place to be. The neighborhood here is made up of diverse folks from all regions and all backgrounds, and we discuss literally all types of food and cooking. I myself am now a home cook who was a professional chef for over 2 decades. The last many years of my career were spent working at resorts and remote site oil camps in Alaska. We also have fantastic cooks who specialize in Latin, Italian, Vegetarian, Southern, and Down Home Country styles of cuisine not to mention Middle Eastern, Barbecue and Baking/Pastry. It's a wonderful place to share and learn. I hang out at many foodie forums and this one by far is my one go-to forum. If I had to give-up all the others- THIS ONE would be the one I'd keep!
