I use garlic in my recipes a lot and was wondering if anyone has ever used a garlic press? I am thinking about getting one, but I dont want to waste my money if it dosent really work.
My husband puts garlic in everything too. A couple of years ao i bought him a garlic press for X-mas and he loves it says it was the best kithchen tol he has ever had
I've never had any luck with one. U've had them break and clog up. When I use fresh garlic, I peel the cloves by squishing them with the flat side of a knive, and chop them up fine. Or I use store bought chopped garlic in a jar, which is easier to use and seems to me to have a stronger garlic flavor them my fresh chopped garlic. I'm just thinking now that a small food processor would mince garlic up quite well.
Muslgrl: What kind of garlic press did you get? Do the little holes clog?

You have to buy an expensive onr for it not to break. I got mine at Williams Sonoma paid about $20.00 for it. To clean the holes I use a little brush. a tooth brush would work well.
