Seems like a nice movie. But so much for the *spoilers* :mad:. Heheh. I hope those weren't the film's highlights because if they are, I'll be "real" mad. :p

You have to see the movie then! The story line is Michael Douglas has been laid off from work, gets stuck in traffic in LA, abandons his car in traffic and starts a trek across town to Santa Monica, where his wife lives. On the way, a couple of hoodlums trey to mug him, but he gets the best of them, and his first weapon. As he continues across town, things escalate, and he ends up with the hoodlums weapons cache of 50 or so guns and Uzzis. Eventually he ends up with a shoulder fired missile. It's a strange combination of comedy, drama, and police story. It's worth watching.

The last movie I watch was the Exorcism of Emily Rose. We liked it. Definitely not a full out horror movie like the advertisements had made it seem when it was in the theatre. I liked how they intertwined the horror aspect of it with the court room drama. And it was really interesting to hear the perspective of each side trying to prove that exorcism and possession is a true human phenomenon and the other side trying to prove this was simply a medical mystery that was treatable. Certainly poses some interesting questions of the self.

I think the last one I saw in the theater was "Failure to Launch."

I give it a 5 maybe.

The sum of the parts was better than the whole. There were some funny lines and moment, but overall it wasn't great.

I watched the original Terminator last night on tnt (or was it tbs?). It's a classic, and would give it a 8/10. Had some good suspence and it's been a long time since I saw it last so it was worth watching.


It's funny how Arnold is the Governator now. ... and Amazing how Enron changed so much, even politics in California. I remember we were paying $0.07 a kilowatt/hr at the time for electricity while PG&E was buying 'competitively off the grid' from Enron at $10.00 a kilowatt/hr and shutting down powerplants for 'maintenance' during the summer.
