Do you throw food leftover or recook them again? How long you keep the food left over? What do you do with them??? I always try to keep the food leftover as much as i can, because i really don't think it is ok to waste food. How bout you?

We usually recook them again. If it is something like baked chicken, my husband will boil it the next day to get a chicken stock and then make a whole other meal out of it.

I won't keep leftovers longer than 3-5 days (even though they would probably last longer). It was kind of beat into my head in the restaurant industry when it came to pies, meats, juices, etc.

I eat leftovers all the time. I will keep them several days, but usually we can use them up - I eat them for lunch as well as the next day's dinner.

If I can, I try to make them into something else, for example if I roast a chicken I'll use the leftovers in a casserole. Or roast beef in soup. I take veggies and put them in a Tupperware in the freezer. When I have enough, I add some meat and seasonings and have stew.

Anything that freezes well, I'll keep for another day.

depends on the leftovers - some get "recyled" into other meals like casseroles, etc., some get frozen like meats and gravies for futre meals or even homemade TV dinners, some may get warmed the following day - if not they get tossed the second day

I use up leftovers mostly by taking them to work for lunch. DH isn't too fond of leftovers so I end up eating most of them, unless I can hide them in something else the second day.
