Also, I believe it is at ChefTalk, at the top of the page when you log on after an extended absence, the greeting says something like--"you haven't visited or posted for a while, welcome back." Makes one feel a little special?

We're trying to change that, Jglass, by attracting new members and keeping the forum active.
Without realizing it, you've helped, with all the posts you've made. The fact is, bringing in new blood, and keeping threads active (or starting new ones) becomes a self-generating thing.
The more activity we have, the more we will have. And when somebody new checks us out, they are more likely to stay if they see some action.
Could you imagine if every registered member made just one post every two weeks? We'd be the busiest cookery site on the web.
