I dont keep the holiday dishes I get there.
At $1 each you can afford to give them away with the food.

Ah I didn't think of that. Now that's a good idea.

I have to use tons of tupperware type dishes for the Christmas dinner. I use the $1 trays for desserts and cheese plates and the like to save trying to keep up with one more dish. My FIL got confused one year after the dinner and ended up taking part of my tupperware to his other daughter in law thinking it was hers. Now I label all of mine with my name. The deli at the grocery store here in town can be a big help with that. They now sell the things they put their deli items in to you cheap. I picked up five of the tall plastic soup cups with lids last night and it only cost me .75 for all of them. My MIL is planning a birthday dinner in a week and I am to bring the three bean salad and honey roasted sweet potatoes. This way I wont have to use my tupperware.

I love Dollar Tree.....but have to drive a long distance to one. I always hit one when I go shopping for Christmas. They have some great stocking stuffers. And I also get the dishes...platters and such to put candy and cookies in .
