RE: "Some of us men are just great at giving directions, lol. We just don't follow them ourselves. "
Speaking of men giving directions...
Have you heard the funny by Roseanne (Barr) Arnold?
She says: "Why are men the best at driving directions? Because only the male mind can conceive of one inch equalling a MILE!"
Hee-Hee! Embarrassingly- there be some real truth to dat!

Well guys I have been up all night. I have the ham done. They can eat it at room temp. None of them get there on time anyway. The turkey is on the oven now. Im roasting some asparagus with olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper. I decided at the last minute to make a little pasta salad. I thought the roasted asparagus with some cherry tomatoes would be lovely in it.

Golly, we're aa bunch of early birds, aren't we? I have to be up at this hour, since I work the graveyard shift- but you girls truly are night-owls!
janie- I love your pasta salad idea! I could go a big ol bowl of it right NOW!
How wonderful it'd be for us all to live much closer to one another so's we could drop-in on one another with bowls of this- and platters of that... How FUN would that be?
Mama could pull-up in the drive w/ some gooey, cheesy Italian delicasy and decadent dessert- as could janie- or with her buttermilk fried chicken. Cookie w/ some pb eggs, sweet 'taters and devilled eggs! Cathy w/ a huge, indulgent Sunday morning breakfast spread, or something w/ a Miami/Cuban/Latino flair... IC w/ his wife's clumped pasta (!!!) and maybe a grilled item w/ his coffee rub/bbq sauce, Jeff w/ a corned-beef spread, jfain w/ her seared venison medalions and carrot raita, Brook w/ some small bites and a mess of heirloom 'maters, CanMan w/ put-up jars of his garden harvests... MsMai w/ her vodka salmon spread, Francie w/ her meatloaf and mac & cheese, and Nan in tow w/ her Oyster Risotto.... MMM! What a FEAST, huh?

That freakin turkey is only up to 132 and it has been on since 3 am. Oh well what do they say about a watch pot lol. I had to make a batch of fried salmon cakes for my brother's wife. They just found out she is pregnant and she is craving them. She said her Mama used to make them for her but since she had mine she says they are better and she told her Mama so. I told her between her and my sister Im gonna have a few Mama's at my door to hang me. My sis Cole's mother in law emailed me just to tell me that Cole, David and the kids are always talking about stuff I make them lol. My brother is supposed to be by to pick the cakes up for her this morning. I told him I would be gone later today so he needed to come by before noon. If I had the money, time and room I'd make them what they loved to eat anytime they want but right now that is not in my budget :o
Wouldnt that be awesome if we could get together for holiday potlucks. It would be food worthy of kings.
