Seems she was not able to have her surgery this morning. She had preclampsia so bad back in September they had to deliver the baby at 29 weeks. She had so much fluid on her that she blew out her ivs. They were not able to get a iv line started on her this morning so she was sent home.
The holidays have almost become depressing for me these years. Both parents are now deceased and no relatives around. For years I traveled with my parents to Northern California for Thanksgiving and to sell crafts at a holiday boutique. Then for Christmas we drove to Salt Lake City for the other relatives. Now everyone is either deceased or moved to the four winds and the younger people are not interested in coming together.
Times have changed.
Times have changed.
CanMan times have indeed changed, none of my family lives close but I do have the grandchild, a sick daughter, and a fiance so I need to count my blessings for that. But goodness the days of great big huge family gatherings have sure gone by the wayside...cripe
And we go on and the holidays come and go and we make the best and be thankful for today, but I know at least for me there is a nagging longing for the "Good Old Days"! In the Good Old Days families were not spread all over "Timbuktu" as my Mom would say! In today's society families seldom all live in the same area, it is sort of sad...I loved the family reunions and get together's especially at the Holiday season!!Seems she was not able to have her surgery this morning. Wow poor lady, it is ashamed that they made that trip for nothing. I bet ya I could have found a vein
Just joking! I hope she will be OK until they can operate. Her insurance only lasts three months after she had the baby so she is gonna have to get it very very soon or it will be to late.
Christmas is still a joy so let's count our blessings, we have each other, we're friends here, we have memories, the ability to make new memories, we are free to travel, we have faith, prayer, and the ability to cook awesome meals, friends and though some may not have families (my parents are deceased also) I have my siblings and if email is the best I can do at least we are in touch as is picking up the phone to say hello to new and old friends, family and acquaintances.
Though Christmas is a time for family, faith, and friends, lets just count our blessings and the hope of a new year, a new president, and hopefully a new economy.
