I have a pair of close friends- Rusty & Liz. They own a lovely new home in Palmer, AK and they have a new pair of twin baby sons. They're both smokers, and both refuse to smoke inside their home. They smoke outside on the deck even in the dead of winter- and when the winds kick-up on those blustery days- they'll duck into the garage if they must to suck-down half a cig. I figger, if my Alaskan friends can smoke outside at 40 below, than for khrissakes- ANYBODY, ANYWHERE can!

That's a hellluva good way to look at it, janie- HA!

When my brother and I were like 8 and 10, Mom caught us smoking a cigarette one fine summer day. She barely even scolded us so we scampered about throughout the day thinking we'd gotten off scott-free. BUT... behold! Later that night when Dad got home from work he took us out back onto the patio BEFORE supper. We were VERY EXCITED because they ordered PIZZA from our family's FAV local pizza joint! Well, Dad proceeds to drill us about our attempt at smoking earlier that day. Long story short- he made Craig and I both EAT a whole cigarette EACH, and needless to say, neither of us could eat a single piece of pizza when the delivery came 20 minutes later. UUUGGGHHH!!! Never tried smoking a single cancer-stick after that!

That is like when you see people smoking out in front of the gym lol. Jon's friend who manages the Family Dollar here in town was telling him he was gonna have to spend more time on his exercise bike. He was smoking the whole time but he is a fitness buff.
