Is anyone else watching that show? Jon and I have watched it the past three years and this year in particular is quiet the bunch of losers. I have never seen such a group of egos in all my life. Half of them think they should win because they are pretty and hot. Please people... I want to watch someone who can cook. I don't care how hot you think you are if you cannot cook and have a good personality I am not watching.

Ego is a huge turn off for me. If you are a great cook then show it and quit yapping about it. Im sorry but some skank poured into a dress that is so tight you can see her butt crack and hair that is three different colors is not hot to me or appropriate. It is trashy and looks like a streetwalker. A rude guy who spends all of his time mentioning how hot he is totally turns me off. A host who describes herself as diva won't ever get me to give her show a chance.

Where is the class and decorum these days? When did being a self described Diva becone a good thing? I could care less if the host looks like Mrs. Doubtfire of a super model. I want to see someone fun to watch and a great cook. Usually there is atleast one contestant to root for but this crew is terrible. Half of them are prancing around telling the camera how they should win for the obvious while gesturing to their face and body and the rest of them are in the corner having a breakdown.
 
isn't it amazing? give me a GOOD cook - I don't care if they have one eye int he middle of their forehead, weighs 600 lbs., has green hair, and eight arms!

I enjoy a GOOD COOK - if I want to see Miss America - I'll watch the pageant (which I neverwatch) -
 
I totally agree Mama.
The FN is getting so far away from what made the network popular to begin with. Are they trying to appeal to the next generation or what? The need more class not cleavage. This bunch has no authenticity to them.
 
if they are appealing to the next generation - boy are we in trouble!

I guess that is what is known as "food p.o.r.n"
 
That reminds me of once when I took Jon to see an older friend of his. The guy was pushing 70 and in his recliner in the livingroom. He was watching Sandra Lee. I asked if he liked her cooking and he smirks and says you mean she cooks? He then tells me he enjoyed her cleavage more than anything. My own brother loves Giada for the same reason.

I love Paula Deen but the past couple of seasons she just looks silly. The hair extensions and whitened teeth plus the orange skin. Her teeth are super white and look like she has had veneers. She wears tons of jewelry and big dangling earrings. Her skin looks like she gets those spray on tans. I think Paula's party has been cancelled. When she did that show she was the female equivalent of a dirty old man. She would sit on mens laps in the audience and some of the things she would say was so bad. I stopped watching it if I was at my father in laws because even he noticed. I saw a couple older episodes of Paula's Home Cooking last week and she looked so much better before she started glamming it up.
 
I liked Paula "before" - now she is obnoxious - and I agree with you on her looks. It all went to her head -

I watch very few on the FN because of all this
 
Paula Deans problem with me is the "stick of butter" that seems to end up in all her recipes. I know I don't need to be a stickler for everyone to be forced on my diet but not every thing look like a "heart attack on a plate".
 
Guys, I have to agree with most of the above post. I don't want to be impressed or entertained. Just show me how to make your recipe. I think they have lost site that they are on a cooking show.
I do like butter and use lots of it I am not on a diet but should be. I applaud people with control (wish I had it).
Giada, I call her smiley. But really I think she just bears her teeth. CF:)
 
well you all know how I feel about Anne Burrell - after I made that post on all my blogs, I got a lot of feedback - tons of emails - it seems that everyone agreed with me except one person - probably the same idiot that gave me a negative comment on my blog - it was probably Anne Burrelle "itself" - oh yeah - I asked the FN is "it" was a transvestite in my complaint to them about that particular show they aired
 
Anne B. is very masculine. I could understand anyone thinking she was a tranny. She should be ashamed for advocating the kind of salt use that she does.
She wears such tight clothes when they film her show. They show every bit of belly she has. I have a belly to and wearing tight shirts is not something I ever do. I wonder how she cooks in some of those shirts they have her in. When Im in the kitchen I want my hair pinned up and I wear a comfy tshirt with short sleeves. I cannot cook in long sleeves. It drives me crazy.
 
I can't cook or clean in long sleeves - I usually wear tees when cooking, for company coming I dress better and I wear a cotton apron - the top-type ones that snap up the front - this way I don't care if I splash anything on it - take it off for serving and eating and put it back on to do dishes and clean the mess. I cannot stand tight clothing - there is no call for it - I don't care who you are -I prefer comfort.

Burrelle is poured into those tops - it's sickening.

No fake blue hair and extensions. No stupid looking fake eyelashes or skin that looks orange. You can so tell her teeth have been done. I have no idea who her stylist is but they should be fired. She looks like a caricature of the old her. She looks like she has a mouth full of chicklets gum.

You know I remember when that movie came out several years back. Don't remember the name just that it had Orlando Bloom in it. Couldnt even tell you what it was about.
I never saw it.
I saw a magazine at the store the other day that showed pics of the inside of Paula's home. It was talking about what fabalous southern style she has. I'm southern and I thought her taste was terrible. Lots of flower patterns and huge over done crowded rooms. I thought her place screamed I have more money than I know what to do with.
