But wait Janie that Hunt's kind is affordable, and best of all it is a good starter and you can improve upon it with a little added this-n-that [ wine, more sauted garlic, onion, bell pepper, oregano, parsley, thyme, splash of hot sauce and mushrooms:D Does your FIL know that???

and for the kicker get a small pork roast 1 lb to 5lb cook it in oven for 3 hours at 325 or untill done then submerge it in ur sauce and simmer it for 4 hours you will not beleive the flavor it adds to your sauce thats my secret for fantastic spagetti sauce try it next time you make your sauce and let me know what you think about it .

4 hours of simmering atleast if your not in a hurry simmer for 8 -20 hours to get the most flavor out of the pork roast and it just falls apart and oh so tender it melts in your mouth

Well he wants me to make some spaghetti sauce for his spaghetti. I found this recipe online so I was thinking of doing a double or triple batch of it. I will probably use 28oz cans of crushed tomatoes instead of the 14.5 oz cans.

Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef, browned and drained
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can tomatoes, diced
1 can tomato paste
1 can tomato sauce
1 green pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper (or to taste)
1 tablespoon oregano (or to taste)
1 tablespoon basil (or to taste)

Directions
1 Brown and drain the ground beef, add all ingredients and stir well.
2 Bring to a light boil then simmer covered for at least 30 min.
3 May need to add a little water if it gets too thick.
4 The longer it simmers the more flavorful it will get.

I got some really beautiful sugar cookies done in Santa, snowmen and Christmas trees with the red and green sprinkles. I am planning to make some cupcakes topped with LOTs of buttercream frosting with a cute cookie nestled in the frosting standing up. Probably make some cheesecake brownies and Jons Dad wants cherry pie.
