Compact Fluorescent R20 Bulb 4 Pack
GE Energy SmartTM 50 watt R20 Replacement LampSaves energy, 11 Watt bulbs replace standard 50 Watt R20 Bulbs
This package of four compact fluorescent R20 replacement bulbs saves $156 in energy (with electricity cost of $.10 per kilowatt hour). You can expect these CFL bulbs to last about six years under standard residential use of about four hours a day.
CFL last as long as five incandescent bulbs. They produce a soft pleasing light and have an electronic ballast for flicker free starting. Because of the electronic ballast these bulbs will reliably start to 5° F. Note that the CFL lamps require a short warm up period to reach their full brightness.
Make a Difference
Use Energy Smart compact fluorescent light bulbs instead of standard incandescent bulbs. These CFL bulbs replace incandescent light bulbs and fit in the same sockets. Compact fluorescent use 75% less energy and last five times longer than incandescent bulbs. That means you will be changing lights less often and saving energy too. This makes compact fluorescent lamps perfect for hard to reach areas or where lights stay on for long periods of time. For commercial applications, such as restaurants and offices, the additional saving of labor costs resulting from less frequent lightbulb changing is a significant savings as well
Save Energy... if you change your 50 W incandescent R20 lightbulbs to 11 W Energy Star qualified CFLs, over the bulbs lifetime, you would save:
- The energy to run an Energy Star qualified commercial refrigerator for 8 months.
- Enough energy to operate for Energy Star qualified computers for over a year.
- An amount of energy equivalent to burning 750 pounds of coal.
- The reduction of air pollution and greenhouse gases because of the reduced electricity demand on you local electric power generator.
In a nutshell, by using CFL lamps in place of incandescent lamps, you'll:
- Save money
- Use less energy
- Reduce air pollution
- Reduce greenhouse gas emissions
- Change lightbulbs less often
These lamps are not intended for use with emergency exit fixtures or lights, electronic timers, photocells, or with dimmers.
Electricity cost savings based on using four CFL bulbs for average life of 10,000 hours (average initial lumens 400) compared to 50 Watt soft white incandescent R20 bulbs (average life 2000 hours, lumens 410) at $.10 per kilowatt hour. The latest provide nearly the same of light output (400 lumens versus 410 lumens).
