Dont mind at all. Jon drove like a nut from the time he got his liscence from what he and everyone else says. He was 23 and he let another guy drive his car. Jon was the passenger. The guy was speeding and lost control on a curve. The car was destroyed. Jon was thrown out the back window after he smashed into the dashboard and broke the front glass. The passenger door caved in on him. Most of his injuries were on his right side.
They were going so fast they ping ponged from side to side of the road slamming into the hillsides.

The driver got a hit on the head and was able to get out of the car and catch a ride back to town. Jon was not so lucky. He was left in a ditch near death. Luckily some friends of the family came back that way from church and found him. Their daughter who was with them was a nurse. She managed to keep Jon alive while her Dad went for help. Jon was drowning in his own blood. Meanwhile Jons friends see the guy he had left town with get dropped off on main street in front of this place they all hung out at. No one ever knew if it was the knock on the head or if the guy was afraid he was gonna get in trouble cause he was driving but he claims he never remembered the accident or how he got their. Claims he never realized he was leaving Jon to die. Many of his friends think the guy was just looking out for his own butt.
The first hospital Jon was taken to wasnt able to treat his extensive injuries and he was loosing blood as quick as they pumped it into him. I met the Dr once who went with him in the ambulance from the first hosp to the second. He said he was sure Jon wouldnt make it. He told me they packed a ambulance with blood and made a run to the other hosp. Jon died three times and they brought him back each time. He lost his site due to massive blood loss. His optic nerves shut down. He was in a coma for like 8 weeks they say. He can see lights and colors and if the light hits just right he can see shadows. His eyes look normal. He just wears shades because bright light hurts his eyes.

That all happened when he was 23. We didnt meet til he was 35 and I was 28. I was helping my sister groom dogs which she did out of her home for people.
Jon and his buddy brought Jons guide dog to get him groomed. The dog was a big old black lab named JD. JD was an awesome dog. I met Jon and his friend when they dropped the dog off and talked later when they came to get him. Jon called me when he got home while I was still at my sisters and it all went from there. He called me the first few times pretending he was having trouble with his computer
I gave him my home number in case he had anymore trouble with his computer. I told him I was flattered the first few dozen times he called but didnt wanna go out with anyone lol. He was persistant lol. HOW he actually got me to come to his apartment was he told me he would show me how his granny had made homemade doughnuts out of canned biscuits but that I was gonna have to do the stove stuff. I MAY have thrown powdered sugar on his nose and after the following food fight I decided I might keep him after all lol. That was April 98. I moved in here in Sept 98 and we were married the following New Years Day. Since I moved in here we have never slept apart for even one night. He was in the hospital in 2003 to have out his gallbladder. He was in there for three days and I stayed there. I took care of him and slept in a little fold out sleeper chair.

Dog set me up. He wanted tor retire and needed a replacement lol. I always joke cause JD was a black lab and I have black hair. I prefer gummy bears not milkbones and I use a car to take you where you wanna go lol.

We met in April and JD had a massive stroke in the following July. The last thing the big guy did was crawl to me and lay his head in my lap. It was like he was saying you have to take care of him for me. He had the stroke on the balcony here at the apartments after I took him for a walk. We had to call the vet to make a housecall and he had to go ahead and put him to sleep while he had his head in my lap. One of the hardest things I have ever been through..
