Three Big Green Sweet Peppers - Cooked, cleaned open ready to stuff
one box of (Zatarain's New Orleans Style) Jambalaya Mix
1/2 lb. of cooked shrimp

Make Jambalaya mix follow directions, Put in medium shrimp. In other pan make already cooked smocked turkey sausage, cut into small pieces and add to Jambalaya mix when done. Stuff your sweet peppers, with mixture. I Love stuffed Green Peppers in the Summer. Cookie :)

This sounds delicious, Cookie! Zatarain's jambalaya rice and dirty rice are two convenience products I always have on hand- along with Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix!

Jon got me our little dog that following Valentines Day. BUT the odd thing about it is I never called or heard of the breeder he came from. I had been going through some adds for mini schnauzers but I hadnt called anyone yet. One morning while Jon was in the shower the phone rings and its this lady. She says our number was on her caller ID. Wanted to know if I was interested in a dog. I was like uhhh....yeah I had been thinking of getting a dog but I havent called anyone yet. She said our number was on her called ID. I had never spoken to or heard of this woman but just so had it she lived pretty near here.

I asked what kind of dogs she sold and it was poodles, yorkies, maltese and schnauzers. I told her Id ask Jon and call her back. We decided to make an appointment to go see her schnauzers. Well we get there and she has all of these wonderful dogs and puppies running around. I was in heaven right off the bat lol. We looked at the schnauzers and none of them pushed our buttons. Then we go into her livingroom and she has this yorkie who crawls into Jons lap. The owner was stunned when the dog did that. She said the dog always hated everyone except her. Said she wouldnt even let her husband come near her...but she took right to Jon. While Jons petting Mama I look into a playpen in the corner and there is this itty bitty yorkie pup playing that would fit in your pocket. Come to find out the pup belonged to the Mama dog sitting in Jons lap at the moment. It was her only puppy. Right off the bat I was in love with the little puppy. There were three couple there that day and we all wanted to buy the same pup. Jon and I told her we were gonna go to lunch and talk it over and let her know. Since we got there first she gave us first dibs on the pup.
We went and got a burger and came back and bought him.

NOW...The pup was so small he rode home in Jons pocket. I took him to Jons Mom so she could watch him while we went and got puppy supplies. As soon as I sit the pup on her floor he grabs my pants leg and starts growling for a game lol. Took him home later and that night we left him in the kitchen in his little bed and all. You would figure he would have cried...not even a wimper. Just like he had always been here. The older he got the more he started acting like Jons old guide dog. He has a very similar personality. He plays exactly the way JD did and even barks like he did when he plays. Jon always jokes about Pooh being a reincarnation of JD lol.
It was so odd how his Mommy took right to Jon and she had always hated men before. I even went through the papers I had looked at to see if her number was in any of them and it wasnt. Wierdness lol.
He has been a great dog. Almost 10 years old and hasnt been sick as single day.

GREAT story, janie! Don'cha just LOVE dogs? I love miniature schnauzers best... I've told this story before but I once had a pair of them... but have since given them to my niece and nephew 'cause they watched them a lot when I was working far away for long periods of time. When I returned home to live full-time, I'da loved having the dogs back- but couldn't bear to take them from my sister's family since they'd all bonded so strongly. So, I adopted a pair of cats instead. Also my Dad and his wife have a tea-cup Yorkie. Also really great breeds!
