Oh sure - you have a post in Chatter about favorite candy and now I am craving some..................

Raisinet Cookies

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups Raisinets (chocolate covered raisins)
1 cup chopped nuts

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.

Beat butter or margarine, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl. Beat in eggs; gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate covered raisins and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake in preheated 375 degree F oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cook completely.

I previously saw an Alton Brown cookie episode in which he said that brown sugar will give you soft cookies (like those found in Subway) while white sugar will give you crispy cookies.

I used white sugar and cornflakes to give the extra crunch in my crispy raisin cookie recipe!

I can definitely add nuts as per your suggestion. I bet it'll taste even better!
