Dreamy Spaghetti Casserole
1.5 lbs of browned ground beef(I am sure turkey would work just as well)
7 oz of spaghetti
2 8oz cans of tomato sauce
1 8oz package of softened cream cheese (I just 1/3 fat)
1/4 c sour cream
1/3 c green onions chopped
1 tbsp minced green pepper
2 tbs melted butter
1/2 lb of old fashion cottage cheese (thicker version)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Break spaghetti in half and prepare as package states, remove and drain with cold water.
In a large bowl, mix softened cream cheese, tomato sauce, sour cream, onions, peppers and cottage cheese until well blended. Add browned ground beef.
In a greased baking dish (I used an 8x11), put a 1/3 of the spaghetti and top with a third of the cheese/beef mixture. Continue to layer. Top with the melted butter (makes the top nice and crisp). Bake for 30-40 minutes. Serve with garlic toast and a nice salad.
