Ours is set to open up the 27th of June.
I am looking forward to hitting it up after it is open for a couple of weeks.
The first week or so all anyone ever has is like cucumbers and assorted peppers. We have some green beans in the garden that are about an inch long righ now lol. Just enough to make you hungry.
We are getting 3-4 cucumbers a week from the garden at my fil's.
In about a week I should be able to pick lettuce. Been getting hot and mild banana peppers and a few jalapenos. The peas put out one mess before they died lol. They are in my fridge for tomorrows dinner.

My herbs are doing pretty decent. I am getting basil, dill, thyme, sage, cilantro, flat leaf italian parsley and curly parsley. It is hard to tell cilantro and flat leaf parsley apart unless I smell them :o Oregano and mint are doing pretty good. I havent cut anything off of the two rosemary bushes he got. Letting them grow some. I hope the cucumbers put out enough so that I can make his Dad a few pickles. It is not looking like they are going to though.
Im drying the dill. When thet stuff hits it growing streak it literally grows like weeds. With all of the rain it is just not a good year for gardens atleast in this area.

I hope anyone else who put out a garden is having better luck than us!

my garden is not doing good at all! and it sucks
every year my garden is huge and I have a ton of stuff by now
I have only gotten 2 peppers, and 2 bell peppers, my corn is the size of my hand, my onions are not working, my carrots are not comming in, my peas died, my pumpkins never worked, and I am very sad

but we have a little "market" down the street that sales them on the side of the road, and you can pay what every you like, so I have been hitting there

our farmers market is only on Sat mornings, and it is so packed its not even funny, but I still LOVE it

I have noticed a very few people selling at the Farmers Market this year.
Looked mostly like peppers, watermelons, green beans, taters and cucumbers. A few people have corn but not much. Tomatoes are just now starting to get ripe and doing it slowly. The area they designate for the farmers market is on a road leading out of town so all of the farmers set up on the hardware store lot in the middle of town so more people see them. There is usually someone selling there everyday.

I only went to one Farmers Market this year, I bought Red & Yellow Sweet Peppers. Someone was selling Anisette Biscotti-Homemade, they looked so Good I bought a pkg, they were Delicious.
The Farmers Market I usually go to I think is open now, they sell fresh corn, zucchini, tomatoes, sweet peppers etc.

I want to make Zucchini Bread, I got the recipe here form you jglass. I Love that recipe, it's so Good! I will be here at Spice Place a year this month! Talk to ya, Cookie :)

I'm fortunate and have a Farmers Market every Saturday from 8am-Noon with 30-40 vendors and the produce changes as the season changes. Even better is that there is a strong Asian presence so about 10 or so vendors sell the more cultural produce which increases the variety and experimenting in the kitchen.
