Here we are - a nice little family of cooks - with the number of active members that can be counted on our toes with "leftovers" - if you know what I mean.

But yet - we have 28,000 members - or should I say spammers that create nothing but headache for me.

Sometimes I wonder what I am doing here - it's so hard to enjoy a site like this with the good recipes and the great people when each time I enter the site it's overwhelming with these idiots.

If this site is for sale - don't look at the member count - it's just a spammer count.

I wish I could just take my family elsewhere to get away from it all.

I have made multiple suggestions about how to control spam in vBulletin to you. they've been deleted or ignored. obviously either you or the Forum Admin actively does not wish to proactively control the spammer issue.

sorry - thems the facts. you are personally not required to like the facts, whether you like or dislike the facts does not change the facts. and obviously, you're having some issues with the facts.

fact is: it is completely unrealistic to expect one single individual moderator to manage a message board 24x7xcenturies.

I know for a fact Mama has been trying to get in touch with the admins here for ages with no reply. If it were up to Mama the upgrades would already be made to fight the spammers but she does not have the ability to make those changes.
I would love to see Mama start her own forum where we could all chat. She has maintained this one for the sake of keeping us all together for no compensation while going through tremendous personal loss.

I have a new blog on WordPress - and I am trying to figure out a way to include chat. I can include subscriber recipes easily - and I want that blog to be interactive. With the hell I've been through the past couple months - I am now starting to get some things done - not enough to brag about or be proud of. I am still questioning why all of it happened.

As far as the spammers go - I guess I've failed -
Dilbert feels so and I need another job as he says.
