Recipe: Apple Cake I
Apple Cake I Ingredients
- 4 cups diced apples
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup canola oil
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups unbleached flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cups raisins
- 1 cups walnuts
- 1/4 tsp salt
To make Apple Cake I
- Combine diced apples, sugar, canola oil, cinnamon, and vanilla. Mix well using a large spoon. Place in refrigerator for 1 hour.
- Beat the eggs, and add to the apple mixture. Mix by hand.
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix by hand with the apple mixture.
- Add walnuts and raisens. Mix by hand so as not to break nuts.
- Pour Apple Cake batter into a lightly greased and floured bundt or tube pan.
- Bake Apple Cake for about 50 to 55 minutes.
- Remove Apple Cake from pan, and cool on a wire rack.
