Recipe: Homemade Baby Ruth Bars
- 1 1/2 cups light Karo syrup
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups salted peanuts
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 6 cups corn flakes
- 1 (12 oz) pkg. chocolate chips
- Heat Karo syrup and sugars until sugars dissolve (does not need to boil). Remove from heat.
- Add peanut butter and vanilla.
- Pour over corn flakes and peanuts. Mix until well coated. Mix will be stiff and sticky.
- Pour into greased jellyroll pan.
- Cover with chocolate chips.
- Heat in 200° F oven until chocolate melts.
- Spread evenly over top.
