Recipe: Baked Chicken
- 2 chickens, cut into pieces
- 3 tbsps butter or margarine
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups chopped celery
- 2 large peppers, diced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 1 cup boiling water
- 3/4 tsp poultry seasoning
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Arrange chicken in casserole.
- Put small amount of butter on each piece.
- Scatter onions, celery and peppers between layers of chicken; season to taste.
- Sprinkle poultry seasoning over all.
- Dissolve chicken bouillon cube in water and pour over chicken.
- Cover and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove lid and let chicken brown, about 20 minutes.
- Fix with rice or noodles and spoon sauce over top.
