Recipe: Buffalo Wings
This is an excellent recipe for homemade from scratch Buffalo Wings. It's origin is from an unknown Buffalo Wing deli in Buffalo, New York. A friend of ours passed this on to us about 15 years ago. Make sure to let the Buffalo Wings marinade for 4 hours as instructed. Don't use too much cayenne pepper or the Buffalo Wings will be really hot. Use 1 1/2 tsp for your first batch of Buffalo Wings, and adjust the seasoning up or down the next batch to suit your taste.
Buffalo Wing Ingredients
To make Buffalo Wings
- Combine vinegar, oil, and egg. Mix well.
- Blend in seasonings, Tabasco, and Cayenne Pepper to taste.
- Rinse chicken wings, and place in large, shallow baking pan*.
- Pour seasoning mixture evenly over wings.
- Cover pan with foil, and place the Buffalo Wingings in refrigerator. Allow wings to marinate at least 4 hours, or overnight.
- Remove cover and cook Buffalo Wings in an 500° F. oven for 50-60 minutes until wings are at desired crispness.
