They use 1/4 of the energy of standard bulbs and last about 5 years in standard residential use. These CFL lights have electronic flicker free ballasts and start reliably to 5° F (-15° C). CFL lamps require a brief startup period before reaching full light output. These lamps are perfect for hard to reach areas where lights stay on for long periods.
