Recipe: Deviled Crab Cakes



 

Recipes using McCormick Poultry Seasoning

 

Deviled Crab Cakes

  • 16 ounces of crab meat
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 1 egg
  • cracker meal

To make Deviled Crab Cakes
  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter then stir in flour and mix.
  2. Slowly add milk, and heat over low heat until warm.
  3. Add the Worcestershire sauce, poultry seasoning, and white pepper to the milk sauce.
  4. Remove any left over shell pieces from the crab meat. Lightly mix the egg into the crab meat.
  5. Mix the crab meat into the milk sauce. Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes to an hour to let the mixture set. Then form into cakes.
  6. Dip each side of crab cake in cracker meal, then place on a broiler pan and broil until top of crab cake lightly brown, then flip over the crab cake and broil other side until lightly brown.

Makes 6 Deviled Crab Cakes.
