Recipe: Flank Steak



 

Recipes using McCormick Italian Seasoning

 

  • 2 shallots, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tbs soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp italian seasoning
  • 4-5 drops Tabasco Sauce
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 pound flank steak
  1. Mix marinade ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. Remove all visible fat from flank steak.
  3. Score steak across the grain in an X pattern.
  4. Place steak in a rectangular glass dish.
  5. Pour half of the marinade over the steak. Turn the steak over, and cover steak with remaining marinade.
  6. Cover dish with waxed paper or saran wrap and refrigerate overnight.*
  7. Broil steak for 3-5 minutes on one side; turn, broil for another 3 minutes on 2nd side.
  8. Slice stteak accross the grain into very thin pieces**

*Allow to marinate at least 8 hours so that marinade is allowed to tenderize the steak.
**Slice steak across grain, thin and angled make steak more tender.
