Light and Easy Biscuit Ingredients

• 3 cups unbleached flour
• 4 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup crisco
• 1 cup milk

To make Light and Easy Biscuits

1. Preheat oven to 425° F.
2. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt.
3. Cut* in crisco until mixture resembles coarse corn meal.
4. Add milk, and stir until blended.
5. Transfer dough to a lighltly floured board.
6. Knead lightly 8 to 10 times.
7. Roll dough into a 9" square.
8. Place dough to fit bottom of an ungreased 9x9 square pan.
9. Cut dough into 2x2 squares.
10. Bake for 15-18 minutes. Biscuits will separate at the cut lines.

*Cut crisco in with a pastry blender.
