This excellent quality coffee has been Fair Trade Certified by TransFair USA, an independent non-profit organization which monitors and certifies Fair Trade products in the United States. Fair Trade raises incomes and living stadards for small coffee farmers overseas while helping to protect the environment. Fair Trade doesn't provide aid or charity, but instead promotes self-reliance and equality for farmers who are disadvantaged under preent trading conditions.

- Helping small farmers gain access to needed loans for working capital.
- Establishing direct, long-term trading relationships between buyers and farmers.

Once harvested, we roast with split-second precision to match the actual water content and characteristics of the particular crop. Finally. our state-of-the-art packing equipment from Italy removes air and immediately locks in flavor and freshness. To speed the coffee to you, Margues de Paiva has a customs operation located adjacent to the roasting facility, ensuring total "tree to shelf" quality control.

After the beans are picked, the marques de Paiva family still insures the same degree of excellence, bringing quality and freshness to a new level.
This total control process has earned international certifications, including ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 14001 for excellence in dealing with the environment. This coffee is also certified Kosher.
