Recipe: Savina's Gingersnaps

Ingredients in Savina's Gingersnaps

• 2 cups King Arthur flour
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp ground cloves
• 1 tsp ground ginger
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• Extra sugar
• 3/4 cup shortening
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 egg
• 1/4 cup light molasses
• 3 tsp baking soda

To make Savina's Gingersnaps

1. Blend shortening, sugar, egg, and molasses.
2. Add dry ingredients and mix well.
3. Shape the gingersnaps into small balls and roll in granulated sugar.
4. Place gingersnap balls on ungreased cookie sheet and press down with bottom of glass dipped in sugar.
5. Bake at gingersnaps 350° F. for 6 to 7 minutes for small cookies.
