Barbecued Short Ribs

• 3 pounds beef short ribs
• 2 tablespoons canola oil
• 1 onion, chopped
• 1/4 cup vinegar
• 2 tablespoons sugar
• 1 cup catsup
• 1/2 cup water
• 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
• 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
• 1/2 cup sliced celery
• 1 tsp minced garlic

1. Heat canola oil in skillet.
2. Brown short ribs with onions in hot oil.
3. Add all remaining ingredients.
4. Cover and cook slowly 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until tender; or bake covered at 350° F, about 30 to 45 minutes.
