Beet Pickles Ingredients

• 4 cups sugar
• 1 cup vinegar
• 3 cups water
• 1 tsp canning salt
• 1/2 tsp ground allspice
• 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
• Beets

To make Beet Pickles

1. Wash, cook, and skin beets. Slice and put into 6 pint jars.
2. Combine sugar, vinegar, water and spices. Heat to boiling.
3. Pour into jars, leaving 1/2 inch space at top of jar.
4. Process in boiling water bath 10 minutes to sterilize.
