• 1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
• 1 cup medium cracker crumbs
• 2 beaten eggs
• 1 (8oz) can seasoned tomato sauce
• 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
• 2 tbsps chopped green or red pepper
• 1 medium bay leaf (crushed)
• dash of thyme
• dash of marjoram
• chili sauce

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Combine all ingredients except chili sauce.
3. Mix thoroughly.
4. Shape mixture into a loaf in a shallow baking dish.
5. Score the loaf by pressing top with handle of spoon.
6. Fill the score marks with chili sauce.
7. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
