  1. Cut up head of cabbage and remove core.
  2. Shred cabbage in a food processor.
  3. Melt butter in a large pot and add shredded cabbage.
  4. Stir cabbage until thoroughly coated with butter.
  5. Add onion and apple..
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Cover mixture with water and simmer.
  8. Cook until cabbage is tender, about 10 minutes.
  9. Grate in the raw potato, to give a nice texture.
  10. Add wine right before serving.
