1 pkg 15 Bean Soup Mix, discard seasoning packet
1 large onion, chopped
1 quart tomatoes
2 cup diced celery
3 qts water
2 cup diced carrots
1 tsp chopped fresh garlic
Center cut ham slice, trimmed of fat and diced

Add water to an 8 quart kettle, and bring to a boil. Add all ingredients list above.
Reduce heat and simmer until all beans are done.
Tastes better if served the following day or divide into portions and freeze.
