A Blend of 7 Peppers - Formerly McCormick Pepper Supreme
Price: $38.25USDLawry's Pepper Supreme 21oz 595g
Lawry’s Pepper Supreme is a bold, sweet-hot seasoning made from a carefully balanced blend of seven different peppers, plus onion and garlic. Formerly sold as McCormick Pepper Supreme, this well-known blend delivers layered pepper flavor rather than simple heat, making it versatile across meats, seafood, and everyday cooking.

Sprinkle Pepper Supreme on chicken, pork, seafood, and steaks before broiling, grilling, or roasting to let the flavors infuse. It also works beautifully as a finishing seasoning on vegetables, potatoes, rice, pasta, salads, and eggs. The mix brings warmth, aroma, and a gentle sweetness without overpowering the food.
For an easy marinade, mix 2 tablespoons of Pepper Supreme with 1/4 cup canola or olive oil and 1/4 cup water. This creates a balanced, pepper-forward marinade that works especially well for grilled meats and vegetables.
Packaged in a large 21 oz container, this is a practical size for frequent home use, catering, or food-service kitchens that want consistent, chef-quality flavor.
Ingredients: Spices (including Black Pepper, White Pepper, and Red Pepper), Salt, Garlic, Onion, Red and Green Bell Peppers, Chili Pepper, Citric Acid, Natural Flavor, Extractives of Capsicum, and Jalapeno Peppers.

Recipe for Peppered Portabella Mushrooms
Heat 1/4 cup Canola Oil in a skillet. Add 1 tsp chopped garlic, and cook for 1 - 2 minutes. Added 2 Portabella Mushroom Caps that are cut into 1/2" slices. Sprinkle 1 tsp Pepper Supreme over top of mushrooms, and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes.
Note: In February 2010, McCormick moved several of their spice blends from their McCormick brand to their newly acquired Lawry's brand. Pepper Supreme was part of that brand switch. Please be assured that this is the exact same formulation as was under the McCormick name. It simply has a new label. What's inside the bottle is the same. Click on the picture of the bottle above to see a full size picture of the label, which says "Formerly McCormick Pepper Supreme" in the yellow corner section of the label.

Lawry's Pepper Supreme 21oz 595g - FAQ
- Q: What is Lawry's Pepper Supreme?
- A: A bold, sweet-hot blend of seven peppers (black, white, red, chili, plus red and green bell peppers), with onion and garlic. It is designed to add spicy intrigue to meat, seafood, vegetables, and more.
- Q: Is Pepper Supreme very spicy?
- A: It is moderately spicy, with more emphasis on flavor than heat. Most people find it pleasantly warm rather than hot.
- Q: Is it very salty?
- A: It contains salt, yes, but the heat and flavor come mostly from the peppers. Use a light sprinkle at first and adjust to taste. For comparison, the 120mg per 1/4 tsp serving is about same as, or a little less than, a single sliced of ordinary bread (bread generally has 120 to 180mg sodium per slice).
- Q: How does the sodium compare to everyday foods?
- A: A 1/4 teaspoon serving contains about 120 mg of sodium, which is roughly similar to, or slightly less than, a single slice of ordinary bread or 1/16th tsp of plain salt.
- Q: Does Pepper Supreme contain MSG or artificial colors/flavors?
- A: No added MSG. Also made without artificial colors or flavors.
- Q: What peppers are in Pepper Supreme?
- A: The blend includes black, white, red, and chili peppers, along with red and green bell peppers, creating depth, warmth, and mild sweetness.
- Q: Is this the same product chefs use?
- A: Yes. This is the same Lawry’s Pepper Supreme used in professional kitchens. It’s packaged in a chef-size container and sold as part of the Lawry’s culinary line, not a retail-only version.
- Q: When should I use it - before or after cooking?
- A: Either. Use before cooking to let flavor infuse (grilling, roasting, broiling), or after cooking for a sharper, fresher kick
- Q: What foods go best with Pepper Supreme?
- A: Excellent on steaks, chicken, pork, fish, or seafood. Also works well roasted, in marinades, or sprinkled on eggs and vegetables.
- Q: Can Pepper Supreme be used in marinades or dressings?
- A: Yes. It works very well in marinades, dressings, and oil-based sauces, adding pepper flavor without overwhelming acidity or heat.
- Q: Was this product previously called McCormick Pepper Supreme?
- A: Yes. Lawry’s Pepper Supreme was previously sold under the McCormick Pepper Supreme name. The blend itself remains the same, only the branding has changed.
- Q: How long does it keep once opened?
- A: About 720 days (roughly 2 years) if kept tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from moisture, heat, and direct light.
