1/2 cup butter
1-1/2 cups sugar plus 2 tbsp
2 eggs
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp sea salt
1-1/2 tsp baking soda
2 cups applesauce
1 (6-oz) pkg chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Cream together the sugar and butter.
Add eggs and mix well. Sift together the cinnamon, cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking soda.
Add applesauce, then pour into a 9" x 13"inch pan.
Sprinkle on the remaining 2 tbsp sugar, chocolate chips and walnuts. Bake in 350° F oven for 30-35 minutes.
