- 1/2 cup butter
- 1-1/2 cups sugar plus 2 tbsp
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1-1/2 tsp baking soda
- 2 cups applesauce
- 1 (6-oz) pkg chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- Cream together the sugar and butter.
- Add eggs and mix well. Sift together the cinnamon, cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking soda.
- Add applesauce, then pour into a 9" x 13"inch pan.
- Sprinkle on the remaining 2 tbsp sugar, chocolate chips and walnuts. Bake in 350° F oven for 30-35 minutes.
