• 1/4 cup butter
• 1 cup light brown sugar
• 1 egg, well beaten
• 3/4 cup sifted white flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp sea salt
• 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
• 6 oz chocolate bits

1. In a sauce pan, melt butter, blend in sugar and add egg. Stir in dry ingredients.
2. Add vanilla and nuts. Fill 8" x 8" greased and floured pan.
3. Sprinkle top with chocolate bits.
4. Bake 20-25 minutes in 350° F oven. Cool and cut into 2" squares.

Double ingredients for a 2 pan batch.
