Recipe: Sausage Bread

Quantity 

• 1 loaf frozen bread dough
• 1 1/2 to 2 pounds hot sausage
• 1 to 1 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
• 2 tbsp garlic salt

1. Thaw bread dough. Let rise until double in bulk. Roll out on floured board to about 12x18".
2. Sprinkle on garlic salt.
3. Sprinkle on half of cheese.
4. Cook sausage in skillet until well done. Drain off grease.
5. Crumble sausage and cool. Spread over dough to within 1/2" of edge; sprinkle on remaining cheese.
6. Roll up like a jellyroll and pinch edges to seal.
7. Brush with egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water.
8. Bake at 350° F. about 30 minutes or golden brown.

Serve hot.
