- 1 lg onion, diced
- 1 qt cooked tomatoes or 1 qt tomato juice
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup uncooked rice
- Salt and pepper
- Dice onion and heat with tomatoes and chili powder until mixture is boiling hot.
- Mix together the lean ground beef, egg, milk, rice, salt, and pepper.
- Form mixture into small balls.
- Drop, carefully, into hot tomato mixture.
- Cover. Cook over low flame for 2 hours.
