Heat oven to 450° F.
Grease a 9" baking pan or cast iron skillet and place it in the oven for 2 or 3 minutes before pouring in the batter.
Mix cornmeal, flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
Add remaining ingredients, mixing only until combined.
Pour into hot pan.
Bake until golden brown on top, approximately 25 minutes.
Do not under cook it. The bread will be moist, yet brown on the bottom.
