Texas Hash

• 1 pound ground beef
• 1 tablespoon canola oil
• 1/2 tsp minced garlic
• 1 can tomatoes, No. 2 (or 3 small cans tomatoes and 1 small can tomato sauce)
• 15 oz can kidney beans
• 3/4 cup uncooked rice
• 1 large onion, chopped
• 2 teaspoons chili powder
• 1/4 cup chopped olives
• 3/4 cup sharp Cheddar cheese, grated

1. Brown meat, onion and garlic with seasonings.
2. Add tomatoes, beans and rice.
3. Bake in a covered casserole for 45 minutes at 350° F.
4. Sprinkle with olives and cheese.
5. Bake uncovered for 15 minutes longer.
