  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In small bowl, dissolve brown sugar in hot water.
  3. Stir in oil and let cool to lukewarm.
  4. Meanwhile, in large bowl dissolve yeast in warm water (sprinkle yeast on water and let stand until dissolved).
  5. Then stir in sugar and salt; beat in white flour.
  6. Stir in cooled brown sugar mixture.
  7. Stir in whole wheat flour.
  8. Dough will be sticky.
  9. Spoon mixture into 2 greased loaf pans.
  10. Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk.
  11. Bake 30 minutes.
